Advanced American College English

ESL students are placed within the sequence of courses in the Advanced American College English Certificate according to their English fluency. Students completing this pattern of study will have a proficient level of fluency in the English language which will help them be successful in academic courses, CTE courses, or general employment.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

• Produce academic essays in English at a proficient/advanced level.
• Communicate in English with flexibility in academic college or business contexts.
• Demonstrate a general awareness of patterns and expectations of United States culture, especially in the college and business environments.
