Tiger Backers Golf Classic Sells Out, Showcases Strong Community Support for RCC Student-Athletes

Riverside City College’s Tiger Backers Golf Classic delivered another standout year at the beautiful Victoria Club, bringing together a sold-out field of 124 golfers in support of RCC student-athletes. The annual event highlighted the strength of the college’s community, with 13 dedicated volunteers, RCC athletics supporters, coaches, and student-athletes all contributing to a successful day on the course.

Throughout the tournament, RCC student-athletes and coaches played an active role, demonstrating professionalism, gratitude, and pride as they engaged with participants. Their presence reinforced the purpose of the event, which is not only to raise critical funds, but also to connect the community directly with the students who benefit from these opportunities.

The Tiger Backers Golf Classic is a signature annual fundraiser that directly supports RCC’s athletic programs. Proceeds from the event help provide essential resources for student-athletes, including equipment, travel, scholarships, and program enhancements that contribute to both academic and athletic success.

This year’s tournament champions—Brandon Bonzoumet, Craig Marshall, Jeff Kolb, and Daniel Hines—delivered an impressive performance on the course, demonstrating both skill and teamwork in a competitive field of 124 golfers. Their win reflects the spirit of excellence and camaraderie that defines the Tiger Backers Golf Classic, where friendly competition meets a shared commitment to supporting Riverside City College student-athletes.
