RCC Students Earn National NAMM Foundation Lamond GenNext Awards

Five Riverside City College Audio & Music Technology students have been selected as recipients of the 2026 NAMM Foundation Lamond GenNext Award. Each student will receive a $750 scholarship to support their attendance at the upcoming NAMM Show in January 2026, the largest global gathering of the music products, pro audio, and live event technology industries.
This year’s honorees are:
- Ana Trujillo
- Chelsea Rodrigues
- Angel Barral
- Melissa Batz
- Abraham Rivera Ramirez
The Lamond GenNext Award, presented by The NAMM Foundation, recognizes outstanding college students pursuing careers in music, audio technology, and the music products industry. Recipients join a national cohort of peers who are invited to participate in exclusive programming, leadership development sessions, and industry networking events at The NAMM Show.
In addition to their award programming, RCC’s recipients will also be invited to join all of their AMT classmates in supporting The MIDI Association booth at the NAMM Show, gaining valuable hands-on experience running a booth and working a trade show - at what is perhaps the greatest intersection of technology and creativity.
"I am so proud of these five students and the dedication they’ve shown in their studies and professional development," said Professor Jennifer Amaya. "This award affirms the strength of our Audio & Music Technology program at RCC and connects our students directly to leaders shaping the future of music and audio technology."
By earning these national scholarships and representing Riverside City College at the NAMM Show, our students will not only expand their own career pathways but also showcase the talent and innovation thriving within our community.
