Riverside City College Celebrated Fall Semester Kickoff with Culture Fest, Involvement Fair, and Club Rush

Riverside City College (RCC) welcomed students back to campus with a series of exciting events designed to celebrate culture, build community, and encourage student involvement. From August 25 through September 11, students participated in activities that highlighted RCC’s vibrant campus life.
Culture Fest – Tuesday, August 27
Held in the Quad Courtyard from 12 to 2 p.m., Culture Fest invited students to explore, honor, and celebrate the rich diversity within RCC’s campus community. The first 100 students to swipe in received free food.
Involvement Fair & Tiger Pride – Thursday, August 29
Students attended the Involvement Fair & Tiger Pride event from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Quad Courtyard, with an additional After Hours session from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The fair provided opportunities to learn about student support services, explore clubs and organizations, and connect with peers who shared similar interests. The first 400 students received free food vouchers.
Free Kona Ice – Wednesday, August 28
Students cooled off with free Kona Ice from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Terracina Avenue. The first 200 students enjoyed their treats free of charge.
RCC Athletics – August 24
Athletics were also part of the fall kickoff. The Tigers Water Polo teams competed against alumni on Saturday, August 24 (Men’s at 10 a.m. and Women’s at noon). RCC Football also hosted Mt. SAC in an exhibition game at noon.
Club Rush – September 9–11
Students had the chance to make the most of their college experience at Club Rush, which took place on Tuesday, September 9 through Thursday, September 11 on Terracina Avenue. With more than 70 clubs and organizations covering a variety of interests and topics, Club Rush helped students discover which group was right for them.
