Riverside City College Celebrates First Graduating Cohort of Anesthesia Technology Students

Riverside City College (RCC) proudly announces the successful completion of its first-ever cohort of Anesthesia Technology students. Twelve graduates from RCC’s School of Nursing have completed the program and are now qualified to sit for the National Certification Examination offered by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
Launched as part of RCC’s Health-Related Sciences Pathway, the Anesthesia Technology program is designed to prepare students for essential roles in surgical and procedural care teams. Graduates gain specialized training in anesthesia equipment, pharmacology, patient monitoring, and operating room protocols—skills critical to the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia services.
“This is a significant milestone for the School of Nursing and for healthcare education in our region,” said Dr. Tammy Vant Hul, PhD, RN, ACNP, CNE, Dean of Riverside City College’s School of Nursing. “These twelve graduates represent the future of safe, high-quality surgical care. They are entering the workforce with a strong foundation, and we are incredibly proud of the perseverance and professionalism they have shown throughout this rigorous program.”
The program is among the first of its kind offered at a community college in the Inland Empire and responds directly to the growing demand for trained anesthesia technologists in hospitals, surgery centers, and outpatient clinics.
