Wendy Silva

About

Wendy L. Silva is an Associate Professor of English at Riverside City College. She teaches creative writing, Latinx literature, poetry, LGBTQ+ literature, and composition, as well as Puente, La Casa, and Rainbow Learning Community (RLC) English courses. A poet and proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, Silva identifies as a queer Latinx woman and brings these perspectives into her teaching and scholarship. She is an active member of LASSE (LGBTQIA2+ Association for Student Success and Equity) and ALASS (Association of Latinx Advocating for Student Success), and is committed to creating learning environments where students and colleagues feel respected, valued, and supported.
