About
Wendy McEwen, M.A., Dean of Institutional Effectiveness, brings more than 20 years of higher education experience to Riverside City College. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, she served five years on active duty as an Air Force Intelligence Officer before transitioning to the private sector, where she spent five years with General Electric as a Six Sigma process improvement expert. She later joined the University of Redlands, where she served for nine years and concluded her tenure as Associate Provost for Institutional Research. McEwen joined Riverside City College in 2014 and has since provided leadership in advancing institutional effectiveness, planning, and data-informed decision-making.
Originally from rural Montana, McEwen is committed to continuous improvement and student success through evidence-based practices and strategic planning. She earned a Master of Arts in Management from the University of Redlands and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy. A military veteran, she is married to a nonprofit professional, and together they share one son and a household that includes several dogs and cats.
