Micherri Wiggs, M.A., Interim Dean of Instruction for the Division of Languages, Humanities, and Social Sciences, has been a valued member of Riverside City College since 2005 as a tenured professor in Communication Studies. An RCC alumna and dedicated community leader, she has served in numerous roles including RCCD Global Learning & Study Abroad Coordinator, Academic Senate secretary/treasurer, department chair, senator, district discipline facilitator, co-facilitator of the Emotional Intelligence Academy, co-coordinator of the Center for Communication Excellence, and advisor to the International Club.

Committed to equity, mentorship, and empowerment, Wiggs has guided faculty, staff, and students through professional growth opportunities ranging from graduate school support to résumé development and communication workshops. Her leadership is grounded in trust, respect, collaboration, and the belief that teamwork across all levels of the college is essential for meaningful change. Passionate about helping students achieve livable-wage careers and uplift their communities, Wiggs brings a philosophy of self-awareness, growth, and collective action to her work, ensuring that RCC remains a place where student success is the norm for all.
