About
Jennifer Spalding, M.S., Dean of Instruction, Kinesiology and Athletic Director, joined Riverside City College in 2025, becoming the first woman to hold the position. A Riverside native and Arlington High School graduate, Spalding returns to the college where her athletic career began. As an All-American goalkeeper for the Tigers from 1999 to 2001, she helped lead Riverside City College to back-to-back 3C2A State Championships and earned Conference Player of the Year and All-State honors. Following her time at RCC, she completed her collegiate career at the University of California, Irvine before transitioning into coaching and athletics administration.
Prior to returning to Riverside City College, Spalding served as head women's water polo coach at Chaffey College and later spent eight seasons coaching and teaching kinesiology at Citrus College. In 2024, she was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director, overseeing travel, event operations, game management, and student-athlete well-being while leading revisions to key departmental resources. Her leadership is rooted in supporting student-athlete success and fostering excellence both in competition and in the classroom.
