Jackie Ureña has served Riverside City College since 2003, beginning as an Admissions & Records Operations Assistant, later as an Educational Advisor for the School of Nursing, and now as Counselor for the School of Nursing and Health-Related Sciences. With a deep commitment to student success, she is passionate about helping students realize their academic goals and approaches her work with empathy and intentionality, recognizing the diverse experiences and backgrounds each student brings. Her counseling philosophy centers on meeting students where they are, empowering them to build confidence, embrace their aspirations, and turn them into achievements. Outside of her professional role, Ureña enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, embracing life’s joys and everyday adventures.
