Suicide Awareness and Prevention

Take the three-hour face-​to-face training.

Notice and respond to situations where suicide thoughts might be present. Recognize that invitations for help are often overlooked. Move beyond the common tendency to miss, dismiss, and avoid suicide​. Apply the TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe. Know community resources and how to connect someone with thoughts of suicide to them for further help

Take the 60-minute face-to-face training

Just as p​​​eople trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained QPR learn how to recgnize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone for help.
