CalWORKs Program

CT_Transparent.pngCalWORKs is designed to promote self-sufficiency through
and employment. If you are a CalWORKs/Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipient with minor children and attending or planning to attend RCC you may be eligible to receive support services. RCC CalWORKs staff is available to assist CalWORKs-eligible students with supportive services to ensure success in school and the workplace.

RCC’s CalWORKs Support Services include:
  • Academic and career counseling
  • Priority registration
  • Educational plans that meet county GAIN requirements
  • Intensive case management
  • Gas cards and school supplies
  • Laptop assistance
  • Work Study
  • Assistance with county documents
  • Tutoring - one on one
  • Scantrons
  • Commencement and Cap and Gown

The county GAIN services may include:

  • Childcare
  • Transportation
  • Textbooks and materials
  • Parking permits
  • Health, Student Service, and Transportation Fees

GAIN/County required documents:

  • Student Educational Plan
  • Class Schedule
  • Textbooks list from Webadvisor or campus bookstore
  • Fiinancial Aid award letter from Webadvisor
  • Health, Student Service, and Transportation Fees from Webadvisor
  • Parking Permit Fee - from Webadvisor
 *Must provide RCC with current verfication of cash aid every term**
