Welcome to the Ally Program - Supporting the Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, and Transgender Campus Community at RCC

What is an ally?
An ally is a visible member of the Riverside Community College District community (staff, faculty or students) who is willing to provide a safe haven and an empathetic ear to anyone concerned with sexual orientation or gender identity issues.

How do I get involved?
Ally Trainings are offered at least once a semester at Riverside City College, as well as at Moreno Valley College and Norco College. In this training, participants learn about issues faced in LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as resources and tools needed to become better allies to people with marginalized genders and sexualities. Participants will also discuss campus scenarios and effective support strategies. At the end of the training, you will sign an Allies contract of action and receive a placard to post outside your office door.

Help us affirm that all are welcome at RCCD!
