CRW's Purpose

The Riverside City College Readiness Workgroup (CRW) studies best practices and recommends services to support pre-college programs preparing local high school and first year college students for college level work.

The CRW members identify successful strategies and ask “what variables work?”  The evidence based practices that are proven effective with our current local demographics are the best practices the CRW strives to maintain.
Workgroup members vet ideas through existing and potential support program staff.  We discuss strategies to boost success for students with basic skill needs.  The basic skills improvement strategies must also demonstrate effectiveness in accelerating the progress and serving more students.

The CRW strives to increase the number of underprepared students who successfully achieve certificate and/or degree completion and/or transfer to university in a timely manner.
