How do I apply?
Complete a free online application for admission if you are a new or returning student. Online applications are available at all times and are processed within 48-72(weekends and holidays excluded). Applicants receive a welcome email with next steps. Applicants receive a welcome email within 48 hours. Send transcripts from other college(s)only if you want classes taken there to meet prerequisites at one our RCCD colleges. See more information on applying.
After I apply, what do I have to do?
Most new students must complete an assessment test so we know if you need help with core skills of English, reading, and math. You are exempt from this requirement if you are enrolled in a four-year college or university or are taking classes to update your job skills, maintain a license, or for educational development.
We also require new students to complete an online orientation and an online first semester Education Plan.

Log into WebAdvisor to view your registration date one to two months before the term for which you have applied. For Log in help click on Log In Video for detailed log in instructions.
Students may register on or after their designated date if they have completed their required assessment , online orientation and first semester education plan. Register online using WebAdvisor. You may pay fees online using a credit card.
You can also pay fees by check or money order at one of the colleges. Drop boxes are available at all three colleges. Payment deadlines are posted on this web site and are available on WebAdvisor. Be sure to print a registration receipt from WebAdvisor as it contains important drop deadline information.
When are classes offered?
The three colleges in the Riverside Community College District have a major fall term, a shorter winter intersession, a major spring term, and a shorter summer intersession.
How much does it cost to attend?
The current enrollment fee for California residents is set at $36 per unit. Fees are subject to change based on pending legislation. Out-of-state residents are required to pay a nonresident tuition fee of $176 a unit plus the $36 per unit enrollment fee. Out-of-country residents also pay an additional $24 per unit surcharge. Can I get financial assistance?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) entitles students to apply for federal programs. Applications are available at all three colleges or you can apply online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. For information call 222-8709.
The Board of Governors Waiver can waive enrollment fees and reduce the cost of parking if you are eligible. The application must be completed before you pay enrollment fees. Effective Fall 2011, you must submit the BOG application for the college you applied to attend. Please use the correct College Code:

Moreno Valley College School Code is 041735.

Bring the completed form and proof of eligibility to the Student Financial Services Office at Riverside City College; the Student Services Office at Moreno Valley College; or Student Services at Norco College. Can I add classes after the term begins?
Students must get the instructor's permission to register after the class has begun. Adding a class requires an instructor's authorization code. With an authorization code students can then add classes through WebAdvisor on the first day of class within the add deadline. It is the student's responsibility to add classes during the specified add deadline. Payments are due at the time of registration.
Can I add after the add deadline?
All students are expected to add classes by the add deadline unless there are documented extenuating circumstances. This policy is regulated by Title V State Regulations. TS 58004 extenuating circumstances are verified cases of accidents, illness, other circumstances beyond the control of the student, and other conditions defined by the local governing board and published in college regulations. Any required assessments, orientation/counseling, prerequisites must be complete and any holds resolved in order to register by the ADD deadline.
Can I drop classes after the term begins?
You can drop classes within the deadline period based which are based on the length of the course. Check the date on WebAdvisor. It is your responsibility to drop a class on WebAdvisor or Phone Reg or file the ADD/DROP card with Admissions on one of the three colleges.
Can I get a refund after I drop my classes?
You are eligible for a refund of fees if you withdraw from classes within the specified deadlines. Each class has a deadline date for refunds based on the number of days the class has been in session (10%). Refund deadlines are available on WebAdvisor.
What can I study?
Riverside Community College District has day, evening, weekend, and online classes at its three colleges: Riverside, Moreno Valley, and Norco. Check the home page at www.rcc.edu for programs.
What degrees are offered?
We offer an Associate of Arts degree and an Associate in Science Degree in addition to a number of certificates.
How do I find out what my final grades are?
Students may obtain final grades online using WebAdvisor; they are available approximately two weeks after the end of the term. Fall Term grades may be a little later due to the holidays. Final grades are not mailed.
Are there college activities?
Yes! Get involved in campus clubs and organizations. Opportunities include student activities, student government, honor society, career club, professional interest groups, educational service, athletics, dance, vocal music, the Marching Tiger Band, theater arts, film series, telecommunications, student newspaper, social events, study abroad and others.

How do I change my home college from my current one to another one within RCCD?
Students wanting to change their home college must apply online for a future term to the college they wish to change to. Students can only apply once per term to any college in the Riverside Community College District. Ex: Student’s home college is Riverside for 10FAL; he/she wants to change their home college location to Norco; he/she must apply to the Norco College for 11WIN or a future available term.
