To avoid being dropped for non-payment please submit your Veteran's Statement of Responsibility (BLUE SHEET) immediately after registering for courses!

There is now an Admissions application deadline to apply for RCCD.
- Winter 2012 application period is Oct. 1, 2011 to Dec. 19, 2011
- Spring 2012 application period is Oct. 1, 2011 to Jan. 29, 2012
Officially starting July 1, 2010 Riverside City College, Norco College, and Moreno Valley College will be three separate colleges within the Riverside Community College District . If a student currently attends Riverside City College, there will be no need for adjustment. However, if a student's Program of Study is only offered at Moreno Valley College or Norco College the students' records have been transferred to that college and the affected students notified. If the student is currently at Riverside City College and would like to transfer to another college in the district and attend the majority of his/her courses there, the student will need to contact Veterans Services at Riverside City College at 951-222-8607.

Step 1 - Admissions Application Process
- New and returning students apply online at http://www.rcc.edu/students/apply/index.cfm
- New to college students and students starting Math and/or English courses must complete Assessment testing.
- New students do online orientation and first semester Ed Plan via Webadvisor.

- Activate your RCCD e-mail account
- You may apply for Financial Aid via www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Or contact Student Financial Services at (951)222-8710
- Veterans are eligible for priority registration for two years after being discharged from active duty. Veterans must take a copy of their DD214 discharge papers to the Veterans’ Services Office at Riverside City College or Student Services offices at Norco College or Moreno Valley College. Staff there will tell eligible Veterans their priority registration date.
Step 2a - First Time Using Benefits
- Chapter 30, 33, 1606 or 1607 - Apply with the VA - Form 22-1990
- Chapter 35 - Apply with the VA - Form 22-5490
Note : Within 2-4 weeks, the VA will send you two copies of your Certificate of Eligibility. Bring one copy to Veterans’ Services at Riverside City College or Student Services at Norco College or Moreno Valley College (Veterans'/Student Services).
Step 2b - Currently or Previously Have Used Benefits
- Chapter 30, 33, 1606 or 1607
- Transfer your benefits to be used at one of the colleges by turning in Form 22-1995 to Veterans'/Student Services.
- Forms can be found at https://www.va.gov/vaforms, or at the college's Veterans'/Student Services Dept.
- Chapter 35
- Transfer your benefits to be used at one of the colleges by turning in Form 22-5495 to Veterans'/Student Services.
- Forms can be found at https://www.va.gov/vaforms, or at the college's Veterans'/Student Services Dept.
Step 3 - Request all Official Transcripts be mailed to:
Moreno Valley College Incoming Transcripts, 16130 Lasselle Street, Moreno Valley, CA 92551 or
Norco College Incoming Transcripts, 2001 Third Street, Norco, CA 92860 or
Riverside City College Incoming Transcripts, 4800 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92506
- Before your enrollment can be certified, all prior credit must be evaluated. Transcripts must be official, sealed, and printed less than 90 days ago.
Transcripts required:
- Military transcripts (Army, National Guard, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard)
- All other College or University transcripts
- High School transcripts for certain educational plans.
Military Transcript Request Forms:
* Include the RCCD address (see above in bold lettering) on the transcript request and send your request to the address or the fax number on the form.
- Checking for received Transcripts
- Check on Web Advisor via www.rcc.edu to see if all of your transcripts have been received by the college(under transcripts received).
Step 4 - Choose a Program of Study
- For assistance with choosing a program of study you can meet with a Counselor.
Step 5 - VA Student Education Plan (SEP)
- Call Veterans'/Student Services as soon as all transcripts are received.

- Request a transcript evaluation.
- Be prepared to tell Veterans'/Student Services your intended "Program of Study".
- Check your RCCD e-mail!
- Once the VA SEP is complete, you will receive an e-mail at your RCCD e-mail account directing you to contact the Counseling Dept. to schedule a counseling appointment to review and receive a copy of your VA SEP.

- Please remember all assessment tests must be done and all official transcripts must be turned in for the VA SEP to be completed.
- When registering for classes refer to your copy of the VA SEP, only required classes listed are payable by the VA.
Step 6 - Enrolling and Certification
- Students register for classes via Webadvisor on or after their assigned registration date. (View registration dates on Webadvisor)
- Once enrolled in classes, fill out a Veteran's Statement of Responsibility (Blue Sheet).
- This form is also available at the college's Veterans'/Student Services and must be completed by the student each semester to request benefits.
- Turning in this form immediately after registering for classes will keep you from being dropped for non-payment.
- The college's Veterans'/Student Services will verify classes are payable before the enrollment certification is submitted to the VA.
- At the end of every month, Chapter 30, 1606, and 1607 students must call (877) 823-2378 or go to
http://gibill.va.gov/resources/verify_attendance/ to verify their enrollment and receive payment.
- Note: Chapter 33, 33-TR, and 35 do not verify enrollment
but dependents may call 1-888-GIBILL-1 for certification status.
- To change your program of study, you must fill out Form 22-1995 (Chapter 30, 33, 1606, and 1607) or Form 22-5495 (Chapter 35).
- Turn the 22-1995 or 22-5495 in to Veterans'/Student Services.
- Check your RCCD e-mail!

If you are collecting benefits at Riverside City College, you are eligible to sign up for the following priority registration dates: (check with Veterans Services at RCC to see if you are eligible)
- Spring Priority registration is from January 11-13, 2012.
