Checklist for New Students
To be a new Riverside Community College student follow these steps:
- Submit your Application for Admission online at www.rcc.edu.
- Apply for financial aid.
- Take our placement exam.
- Attend an orientation at Moreno Valley, Norco or Riverside. Make an appointment for a new student orientation by calling or stopping by the counseling office.
- Select your courses from the schedule of classes. Use the catalog, major sheets, and appropriate general education pattern to help decide what to take. Be sure to allow time in your schedule for work, family responsibilities, leisure, and homework.
- Check your registration date on Webadivsor and pick preferred as well as alternate classes. As a new student you first choice for classes might not be available.
- Register on your date on Webadvisor or phone registration and pay your fees.
- During your first fall or spring semester make an appointment with a counselor to develop a student educational plan (SEP) - which will list the courses you need to complete to reach your goal at RCC.
