Dates and Hours Of Operation

The 2013 calendars below are for the Moreno Valley, Norco and Riverside colleges and the Moreno Valley Ben Clark Training Center.  We make every attempt to have calendars posted two weeks in advance of each month.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT HOME COLLEGE

Students must receive their student services (such as assessment and counseling) at their self-chosen Home College. (You chose a home college when you submitted your online admissions application.) If you don't know your Home College, you can find it by logging into WebAdvisor and clicking "Update Program of Study".

How tests are administered varies by college and by the time of year. This legend provides some details on the various tests found on the calendar links below.

Block testing: This kind of testing means we have a certain amount of workstations set aside (from 5-15) each hour listed.  Though primarily aimed at serving continuing students and students coming here from another college, all students needing part or all of the general English/Math/Reading Assessment Test are welcome. PLEASE NOTE: The lab shuts down from one hour to 1 1/2 hours after the last appointment time.  If your test is not complete, we will give you a pass to return another day (you would not need to make another appointment.)

Group Testing: Group general Assessment Test session of 15-50 students all starting at the same time. Mostly for 1st-time college students who need the full general assessment test, but can be used for students who only need part of the test when other kinds of testing are not available. Group testing lasts 2-3 hours, but most students finish the test in approximately 2 hours. If your test is not complete by the time the group session is over, we will give you a pass to return another day (you would not need to make another appointment.)

PTESL: RCC's English as a Second Language test.

PTESL One-Stop: Special PTESL session where students can take the ESL test and receive the required follow-up Orientation/Group Counseling all in the same day. By appointment only. PLEASE NOTE: These sessions last approximately 3 hours.

Spanish: The Spanish Competency test.

Chemistry Test: A group test of 5-8 students who submitted paperwork and received permissions to take the Chemistry Diagnostic test in order to meet a specific Chemistry prerequisite. Session lasts approximately 55 minutes. More details.

Please do not call the Assessment centers to make an appointment. We are under-funded, under-staffed and typically are unable to get to the phones.

Moreno Valley: Please use the Moreno Valley Assessment online appointment system.

Norco: Please use the Norco Assessment online appointment system.

Riverside: Please use the Riverside Assessment online appointment system.
