RCC Online Admission Application
Riverside City College's admission application is provided by OpenCCC, a service of the California Community Colleges Chancellors Office. OpenCCC is utilized by a majority of community colleges throughout the State of California. Before you begin your application, you will be asked to create an OpenCCC account. If you have applied to one of the other community colleges that utilize OpenCCC, you will need to login using the OpenCCC Username and password that you previously created. If you experience any difficulties logging into OpenCCC, you will need to use their Recover Account feature or contact OpenCCC technical support for assistance.
Who Needs to Apply
Students who are currently enrolled in classes at any of the three RCCD colleges (Moreno Valley College, Norco College, or Riverside City College) or attended during the previous major term (fall or spring) do not need to apply.
Those who did not attend classes during the previous major term will need to submit an admission application in order to receive a registration date and register for classes. Please note that if you apply for the summer, you will receive a registration date for summer and fall at the time we assign registration dates; if you apply for the winter you will receive a registration date for winter and spring. You do not need to apply for both terms.
Admission applications for the stated terms are only accepted within the following specified admission application submission periods:
Selecting Your Program of Study and Home College
Riverside Community College District (RCCD) is comprised of three colleges: Moreno Valley College, Norco College, and Riverside City College. Each college offers different degree and certificate programs. Please review the complete list of programs offered throughout the District on the Academic Programs page of the RCCD website. If you select a program offered at Moreno Valley College or Norco College DO NOT submit a Riverside City College admission application. Please submit your application to the college that corresponds to your desired program:
If your program is offered at Riverside City College, please review the specific program requirements in the RCC College catalog.
By submitting the Riverside City College admission application, you will be electing Riverside City College as your HOME COLLEGE. You may only submit one admission application per term for any college in the District. Students may register for classes at any of the three colleges regardless of home college location. However, please be aware that your home college is the college where you will receive most of your services. These services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assessment Testing
- Student Financial Services
- Veterans Services
- Student Support Services (CalWORKs, EOPS/CARE, etc.)
For example, if the home college on record is Moreno Valley College, you will not be able to schedule an appointment with a counselor at Riverside City College. You will be directed to Moreno Valley College to meet with a counselor.
Applications are processed within 2-3 business days (weekends and holidays excluded). After you submit your application you will receive two emails:
- Immediately after you submit your application you will receive an email confirmation that your application has been received.
- Two to three business days after you submit your application (weekends and holidays excluded), you will receive a second email with your RCCD student ID number, WebAdvisor User ID, and RCCD email address.
If you need help completing the admission application, assistance is available at the Welcome Center in the Student Financial Services Building and at the Admissions & Records Office in the Cesar Chavez Admissions & Counseling Building.
IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN CLASSES AT ANY OF THE THREE RCCD COLLEGES OR YOU ATTENDED CLASSES DURING THE PREVIOUS MAJOR TERM DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION.
