APPLICATION FILING PERIOD

VN Program Application

  • First business day of February – First business day of March to apply for FALL semester

ADN (RN) Application

ADN (RN) Petition For Readmission

  • First working day in September – First business day in October to apply for SPRING semester
  • First working day of January - First working day of February to apply for FALL semester

Students interested in applying to both the RN and the VN program must submit an application for each program separately. Applications must be submitted via email to nursing@rcc.edu. Adobe Reader is required to save and e-mail the application.

APPLICATION PROCESS

ADN (RN) Program
 

1.   RCC SON ADN (RN) applications are available on the SON website during the designated Application Filing Period.  The completed application, official, up-to-date transcripts, and any other supporting documents are due by the end of the Application filing period. Applications MUST be emailed to nursing@rcc.edu as PDF files. Applications are best processed using Windows, not a Mac. If needed, you may update your Adobe Acrobat Reader.

 

2.   An email will be sent to you acknowledging receipt of your application within 2 weeks. If you do not receive an acknowledgement receipt, your application was not received.

 

3.   A passing score on the TEAS version 5 is required for admission to the ADN (RN) program. Prior versions of the TEAS will not be accepted.

 

4.    ADN (RN) students petitioning for readmission MUST complete an “ADN (RN) Application” and “Petition for Readmission” before being considered for readmission. Applications are available online during the Application Filing Period or from the Nursing Enrollment and Evaluation Specialist (Office 177). Applications and “Petitions for Readmission” must be submitted to the Nursing Enrollment and Evaluation Specialist in person. Students will be readmitted according to the “Prioritization for Readmission” policy and space availability.

 

5.   Students Petitioning for Readmission into Nursing 22

Effective Fall 2008, students who do not successfully complete Nursing 22 and achieve a less than 90% predictability score on the ATI Diagnostic Predictor Exam at the end of Nursing 22, will be required to purchase and use specific ATI products for remediation purposes. Students will be readmitted according to the “Prioritization for Readmission” policy and space availability.
