Using a combination of magic and common sense, Mary Poppins teaches the mischievous Banks children how to behave and teaches the family how to value each other again.  Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises "Anything can happen if you let it".

Grandson of the infamous Dr. Frankenstein, Frederick inherits his family's estate in Transylvania.  With the help of hunch-back side-kick and a leggy lab assistant, he finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's.

Sarah and James – a photographer and a journalist – share a passion for the adrenaline rush caused from reporting in the world’s deadliest war zones.  When their own story takes a sudden turn during a bomb blast in Iraq, the wounded Sarah returns home with James to the safety of New York. Pressed to consider settling into a more “conventional” life, Sarah must face her addiction to the drama and chaos of war.

Edwin Bloom, a traveling salesman, lives life to the fullest...and then some!  His incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him-most of all, his devoted wife Sandra.  But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father's epic tales.  The result is a musical overflowing with heart and humor.

Mark Twain's timeless classic sweeps us down the might Mississippi as the irrepressible Huck Finn helps his friend Jim, a slave, escape to freedom at the mouth of the Ohio River.  Their adventures along the way are hilarious, suspenseful, heartwarming...and full of characters.

"Crimes of the Heart"

This Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning comedy tells the story of the Magrath sisters who are having a really bad day.  No one remembered Lenny's 30th birthday. Meg has returned from Hollywood after her singing career flopped.  And Babe just shot her husband because she 'didn't like his looks'.  Each sister is forced to face the consequences of the “crimes of the heart” she has committed in this warm-hearted, irreverent and zany comedy.

 
All the above performances are acceptable for performance critiques in RCC Theater classes.

Audition Date: Wednesday, September 2, 4-6 pm, Quad 144
Please prepare a one-minute serious monologue. Sides from the script will be provided by director.
Students must register for  Theatre 5 / 6 if cast. Roles:  2 men and 2 women
