The purpose of this organization is to allow students of all majors to participate in a Mock Trial competition, against other major colleges and universities. The competition gives participants first hand experience and involvement in the areas of: trial procedures, substantive law, research, analysis, teamwork/teambuilding, rapport, professionalism, and an overall broad inner working of the law; just to name a few. In addition, it is great networking opportunity for students. Furthermore, during practices and competitions, students are given the opportunity to broaden and sharpen their English, writing, and speech skills, in and out of the competition. The Mock Trial Experience also avails itself many opportunities for the students to discuss social and economic issues that affect the legal community at large. Workshops, Mock Trial Events, as well as other pertinent legal conferences via competition, help to facilitate the purpose of this organization.
