Dean of Instruction, Norco
Dr. Diane Dieckmeyer is the Dean of Instruction at Riverside Community College, Norco College where she is responsible for the quality and integrity of academic and instructional programs. Some of her duties include supervising and participating in the process of faculty evaluations, promoting faculty development opportunities, supervising and approving departmental schedules of classes, and exploring new instructional programs.
In 1998, Dr. Dieckmeyer joined the reading discipline at Riverside Community College, Norco College, and went on to serve in various leadership positions in faculty development, the Communications Department, the Academic Senate, the District and Norco Student Equity Committees, and the Norco Title V Task Force. Dr. Dieckmeyer has conducted numerous presentations at regional and national conferences on the motivational issues which hinder success in developmental reading students, most recently presenting a paper at the American Educational Research Association in Chicago.
Dr. Dieckmeyer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from the University of California, Riverside in 1984 and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of California, Riverside in 1987. While at the University of Riverside, she also earned a multiple subject credential, learning handicapped credential, and Reading Specialist credential. In 2006, Dr. Dieckmeyer completed a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. Her 22 years in education spans elementary and middle school as well as college-level teaching in the fields of reading and multicultural education.
