As Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness, Kristina Kauffman's responsibilities include program review, assessment of student learning outcomes, strategic planning, faculty evaluation processes, and professional development of faculty.

Kristina served as Dean of Faculty, District Faculty Development Coordinator, Title III Academic Coordinator, Associate Professor of Political Science, and Student Activities Director at Riverside Community College. During her 21 years in the classroom she taught American Government, International Relations, International Organizations, Public Administration, Constitutional Law, and Political Economy. She has also taught International Relations and American Foreign Policy for Whittier College.

She also currently serves as Project Director for 4faculty.org the award winning professional development website for community college faculty. She has participated on the Board of the California Community College Board for Staff and Organizational Development, FACCC, the Board of the World Affairs Council of Southern California, and the United Nations Association National Membership Committee in addition to other civic and professional activities. She did extensive work in the early days of online education with RCCD and with the California Virtual College.

She has received the State Chancellor's Office Educational Technology Leadership Award in 2001, the 4C/SD Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Award in 2006, The New Leader Award from the United Nations Association 1990, the Instructor of the Year Award 1986 and other honors.

She attended Pasadena City College, earned her BA in Political Science, with minors in Philosophy and Art from Whittier College and her MA in Political Theory from Claremont Graduate School.
