• On February 20th, the Riverside/Moreno Valley Press Enterprise released an article about a two year grant award our Nursing department recently recieved.  The RCC nursing department is among 18 colleges that will share $2.7 million in funds under the Song-Brown program administered by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development.  RCC's share is $273,000. Most of the money over the next two years will be used to hire another full-time faculty member and accomodate another 10 students.  According to Sandy Baker, Dean of the Nursing Program, RCC was ranked first amongst schools that applied for the grant based on a review of the quality of the program.

• Chef Instructor Robert Baradaran tested his skills against the country's top chefs in Las Vegas earning a certificate of merit.

• 2nd Biannual RCC Student Film Festival--The Second Biannual RCC Student Film Festival was held on Friday, December 14, 2007, featuring the works of students enrolled in the film production class, TEL 48 - Short Film Production.  It was a packed house at RCC's Digital Library Auditorium with over 200 people in attendance.  All that was missing was the "red carpet" because the atmosphere was definitely classic Hollywood!
