The Retail Management Certificate Program is a 10-course college-level program that has been fully endorsed by the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) and its member companies. The certificate's curriculum was developed out of a collaborative effort between the food industry and college professionals and encompasses business essentials including the "soft skills" of management and communication required for a successful career in the retail industry. The retail management program is designed to assist the student in becoming more competitive in obtaining a retail supervisor job or be promoted to higher level management positions. The program offers diverse courses ranging from accounting, management, public speaking, and computer applications to prepare the student for that goal. Upon completion, students will be awarded an Associate in Science or Certificate in Retail Management that is recognized by the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC).
