The drafting program is an excellent program for students who enjoy drawing, using various computer applications, and applying their math skills to accomplish tasks. The program emphasizes the fundamentals of mechanical drawing leading to competency in computer-aided drafting (CAD) and technical design. Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded an Associate in Science degree or certificate in drafting technology. Completion of the program generally takes one to two years. The program offers coursework in drafting, engineering drawing, math for engineering technology, and blueprint reading among many other courses that are designed to prepare the student for a career in the field.
