The construction technology major is an excellent program that opens the door for students who are interested in various skilled careers in the construction field. The construction technology program is a comprehensive program that educates the student on various aspects of the construction industry including an overview of building codes and ordinances ranging from plumbing, mechanical, and electrical. Students will also become familiar with blueprint reading, energy conservation standards, soil technology and various other important aspects of the construction field. The construction technology program is designed to give the student a strong understanding of the many aspects that the construction field entails as well as a thorough understanding of state codes and regulations. Upon completion of the program, the student will be awarded an Associate in Science degree or Certificate in Construction Technology.
