Mrs. Lowry graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing
from Saddleback College in 1982. She received a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing from Loma Linda University in 1989 and a Master of Science degree
in Nursing with a Clinical Nursing Specialist in Critical Care from California
State University Long Beach in 1995. Her nursing career began in the
Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Riverside Community Hospital. After three
years she moved to Emergency Department Nursing, and has worked in the
Emergency Departments of Riverside Community Hospital, University of
California Irvine Medical Center and Western Medical Center of Santa
Ana.
Prior to starting as a full time faculty at RCC in Fall 2001, Mrs. Lowry specialized in trauma nursing as program director at Riverside Community
Hospital and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She has been a Mobile
Intensive Care Nurse and has
worked as a critical care transport nurse for an ambulance company. Mrs. Lowry is also a Nationally Certified Emergency Nurse. In addition to her position at RCC, she continues to work in the Emergency Department on a per diem basis to maintain her clinical skills.
