Marie Colucci has been a full-time faculty member at Riverside Community College since 1983.  She earned her B.S.N. degree at Boston College (magna cum laude), an M.N. at UCLA with a clinical specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing with a minor in Nursing Education and her Ed.D. from Nova Southwestern University.  Her experience clinically includes medical surgical units, orthopedics, and gerontology.  She has taught in a number of nursing programs and served as a consultant to law firms, hospitals, schools and nursing organizations. 

Dr. Colucci served as the Special Assistant to the President, and more recently, Special Assistant to the Chancellor for nursing initiatives from 2002 - 2007. This role included representing the College on the Riverside County Health Science Industry Council, serving as the President for three years, as a member of the Caring Spirit Awards Steering Committee (2002-2007), presenter for, the nursing shortage, Measure C and the H-1B and HRSA grants in the community. 

In April 2007 Dr. Colucci was honored by the college with the Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence. She also coordinates the CSUF ADN to BSN Program at Riverside Community College.  There are two cohort groups in progress (Monday, Thursday). A third cohort is planned for Wednesdays beginning in January, 2008.
