Sandy Baker received her ADN from Maryville College, St. Louis, Mo.; her BSN from Cal State University Fullerton; an MSN from Cal State University Dominguez Hills, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Case Western University.  As a staff nurse, she worked in all areas of OB and Pediatrics, primarily at UCI Medical Center and Kaiser Anaheim.  She was also the Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist at Kaiser for 2 years while serving as an adjunct faculty member at Cal State University Los Angeles.  She has been on the RCC faculty since 1989, was ADN Assistant Department chair for 4 years, and has been the Dean of the School of Nursing since 2003. This past year she received national recognition as a Certified Nurse Education. She also serves as the book editor for Nursing Education Perspectives, a publication of the National League for Nursing.

Dr. Baker currently teaches the nursing work experience course at RCC.
