Clinical Experiences at RCC
Students in the RCC School of Nursing learn direct patient care in a wide variety of health care facilities in Riverside, Moreno Valley, San Bernardino, and Corona Communities. Students are always under the direct supervision of a faculty member or a Registered Nurse serving as their preceptor.
Since there are employment opportunities for RNs and LVNs in many types of health care settings, students learn in many types of facilities besides hospitals. Some of the other facilities included in clinical experience are skilled nursing facilities (nursing homes), out-patient clinical and doctors' offices, chemotherapy clinics, and home health agencies. Nursing students also frequently assist at health fairs, immunization clinics, and blood bank drives in the community.
