Q. What are the advantages of a Dental Assisting Career?

Q. Can I continue to work while in the RCC Dental Assistant Program?
A. Yes. RCC has a part-time tract to accommodate those students who need to work.
Q. Are there any prerequisites required to start the program?
A. RCC does not require any prerequisites before entering the program.
Q. Do I have to have a high school diploma or GED to apply to the Dental Assistant Program?
A. RCC Dental Assistant Program does not require a high school diploma or GED.
Q. Can I apply if I am still in high school?
A. Classes are open to students who are entering their senior year. Students may take one class per semester. The typical lay-out would be DEA-10 in the summer entering their senior year, DEA-20 in the fall, and DEA-41 in the spring.
