Riverside City College’s Culinary Academy will be hosting its annual fundraiser, Springtime in Paris, on Saturday, June 21 at 5 pm at Sysco-Riverside Inc.
Sponsored by the American Culinary Federation, Southern California Inland Empire Chefs & Cooks Association and Sysco, the event offers guests a stimulating experience. Guests will experience a six-course extravaganza of seasonal flavors, textures, and aromas as prepared by RCC culinary students, faculty, and local chefs. Prior to the dinner there will be a cocktail reception featuring jazz entertainment and guests will be able to partake in a silent auction and a raffle.
Monies from the event assist the program to purchase equipment and help students with educational expenses. The Culinary Academy will be moving into a state-of-art- facility as part of the District’s Centennial Plaza project, which is located on the corner of Market Street and University Avenue. Completion of the new facility is scheduled for March of 2016 as part of the College’ 100th birthday celebration.
