Animated short films by students in the Art, Applied Digital Media and Graphics departments will be highlighted at Riverside City College 9th RCC Animation Showcase on Wednesday, June 11 at 4 pm in the Digital Library Auditorium. The 35 juried works, selected for the showcase will range from drama and comedy to action and abstract modernism.
“The animation students have pushed the limits and put a lot of energy and effort into their animated films,” said Will Kim. “The students use all kinds of techniques to tell their story - from traditional animation, computer animation, paper cut-out animation, and charcoal animation.”

Professional animators and artists from The Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Titmouse Animation Studio, and Cal Arts will judge the final 35 animations.

The showcase, which begins at 4 pm, is open to the public and admission is free.
