Riverside Community College District’s Office of Economic Development and TriTech SBDC will host the 5th Annual “Funding the BIG Idea” Forum on May 8 at La Sierra University, Zapara School of Business.
The event, which includes popular sessions such as business speed dating with Angel investors and Venture Capitalists, the Best BIG Idea Competition, and Piranha Pool, attracted 280 participants last year.
“Getting funded depends on the ability of an entrepreneur or business owner to capture the interest of potential investors,” said TriTech Director Mark Mitchell. “Funding the Big Idea is about exposure, networking, and opportunities. For many participants this may be their first chance to meet face-to-face with a savvy mentor or investor who can help them achieve their dreams.”
At stake is more than $40,000 in prized business services and a $1,000 cash prize for the best business idea.
