22nd Semi-Annual Student Film Festival

22nd Semi-Annual RCC Student Film Festival​ 

film festival.jpgThe film, television and video department is excited to announce this year 22nd Semi-Annual RCC Student Film Festival, December 8 at 6 pm, in the RCC Digital Auditorium. Student winners will receive a scholarship award in the categories of, best director, best film, best screenplay, best editing, best sound for film, and best cinematography.  The festival was started in 2006 by then Associate Professor Bud Tedesco and has run twice a year since then. “We wanted to recognize students for their hard work, and we felt this was the best way for us to present their work to a real audience.”

Each festival judged by industry professionals from such places as Warner Brother Studios, Paramount Studios, CBS, ABC, and Jim Hansen Studios to name a few. “The judges come in early to do a one on one critiques with our students, which helps them to become better filmmakers, and storytellers.”

Be on the lookout for our 23rd Annual Student Film Festival in late spring of 2018.
